Andre Russell finished RCB which batting first, put up a huge total of 205. Andre hit 48 runs not out out of just 13 balls hitting 7 sixes and 1 four. It was looking difficult for KKR in last few overs after Dinesh Karthik and Nitish Rana got out. But as soon as Russell starting batting, it became pretty clear where the game was headed.
This has been a very disappointing season for RCB. They already lost 4 games and were hoping to turn things around with this match. Kohli and AB had put up a massive score of 205 on the board but that was not enough to stop Russell power. Virat Kohli scored 84 runs off 49 balls while AB de Villiers scored 63 off 32 with 5 fours and 4 sixes.
RCB although performed good with the bat in the first innings, but their balling and fielding both were a hit and a miss. Lots of dropped catches and miss-fielding by RCB coupled with poor balling made the chase by KKR pretty easy. RCB is now on its longest loosing streak by having all the five matches lost that they have played this season. It will be interesting to see how the team captain Kohli will get his team to bounce back from such a humiliating IPL season.
