Kerala Rescue Op: Watch Navy helicopters rescuing child from rooftop

Kerala is suffering from worst floods in the recent years which has caused massive damage to the entire state both in terms of money and life. The whole country stands with its state and people with help of social media are contributing in all possible ways. People are donating money, clothes, food packets, etc and also urging other people on social media to do so.

The authorities have said that the floods in Kerala have left 357 people dead since May 29, when the south-west monsoon hit the southern state. Over 3.53 lakh people are in 3,026 relief camps across Kerala after the rains savaged the state.

The government has lifted the red alert from various places but the rain forecast has still kept the state on edge.

Personnels from the Armed forces, Navy, Air force and other agencies are working day and night to help those stranded in different parts of the state. Among videos doing rounds on social media, one video of an Indian Navy personnel rescuing a child is getting praises from people. Have a look at the video.

In a footage shared by the Navy on Twitter, a flight diver is seen rescuing a kid from the roof of a house in the flooded region of Aluva.

Railways announced free transportation cost for sending relief material to Kerala. The railways has issued a set of guidelines allowing all government organizations as well as private bodies to transport relief material to flood-ravaged Kerala for free.

“No freight is to be charged for transportation of relief material to Kerala. That is to all stations in Kerala as of now,” the railways said.

Various state governments have contributed relief funds to help the people of Kerala. Many people like Shah Rukh Khan have also come forward to make donations and have also influenced people to do so.
