ssc-recruitment-2019The Staff Selection Commission has released official recruitment notification for online registration process for the competitive examination of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal  Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. SSC has rolled out process for recruitment from talented, young Indian citizens – both male and female. Official Notification on SSC recruitment has been released by SSC on 5th March 2019 and can be downloaded from here. Candidates can do registration @ssconline.nic.in. The vacancies for each post has yet not been released and will be published by SSC on https://ssc.nic.in/Portal/TentativeVacancy

  • SSC Online Registration: 05th March 2019 to 05th April 2019
  • SSC Last date of online application: 05th April 2019 (up to 5.00 PM)
  • SSC Last date for fees payment online: 07th April 2019 (5.00 PM)
  • SSC Last date for Challan Generation (offline): 07th April 2019 (5.00 PM)
  • SSC Last date for payment through Challan: 09th April 2019(during working hours of Bank)

Salary
  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 1900 (pre-revised).
  • Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400(pre-revised)
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade „A‟: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs.2400 (pre-revised).
SSC Application Fees can be paid by both Online & Offline Mode Rs. 100

Exemption for Women/SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category

Payment to be done through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card

SSC Application Fees can also be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan

Age Limit
  • The minimum age limit is 18 and the maximum age limit is 27 as on 1st August 2019 (i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001)
  • Upper Age limit relaxation as per government approved rules for different categories. Refer the notification
  • Recorded Date of Birth as in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of application will be considered valid by the Commission
Educational Qualification (As on 01st August 2019)
  • For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): 10(+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 10(+2) in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Process for Online Application Procedure for SSC

Completing the online application form for SSC, two basic fundamental steps need to be followed

  1. Step 1 – One Time Registration
  2. Step 2 – Filling Application Online

Step 1- One Time Registration for SSC Online Examination

  • Goto the official website http://ssc.nic.in
  • Under the login section of the page, new users can register by clicking on the New User? Register Now link
  • It takes to the page – https://ssc.nic.in/Registration/Home
  • On the page https://ssc.nic.in/Registration/Home, the candidate needs to fill in the mandatory details related to Aadhar, personal, details of Class 10th exam and address
  • For existing users need to enter SSC username and password
  • Keep a note of the email id and mobile number used because they will be used for alerts and official notification
  • Photograph and signature need to be uploaded at the time of registration only in the required size
  • Before submitting review the application and ensure that the details entered match with the proofs you have
  • After registration is complete, click on Submit button only after you are sure of the details entered
  • Once the registration process is complete, it is suggested to take print out of the application form for future references
  • Same will be notified on the email

Please Note:  Read the instructions carefully before applying. No change in any of the data filled in the online application will be entertained after the candidate has clicked on FINAL SUBMIT button. Read Annexures I and II of the official notification before applying!

Step 2 – Filling Application Online

  • Login with the registration number and password received in Step 1
  • Under section – “Latest Notifications‟ , click on “Apply‟ link in Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination
  • Data in columns till 14 will be auto populated from the information entered in Step 1. It can be edited
  • Enter the information being asked – Examination Center, Medium of Test, any disability
  • Review the information added
  • Pay the application fees online if you are not exempted by means of BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan before final submission
  • Submit the application
  • On submission, “provisional” application will be generated
  • Take print out for personal records and future reference
