Haryana Police Is Hiring People To Fill Up 7110 Posts

Haryana Police RecruitmentHaryana Police is hiring 7110 people for posts of Sub-Inspector and Constable. The notification of the job opening was released on April 16, 2018. The application process started on April 29. 2018 and the last date to fill the form was May 28, 2019. Those who have submitted the application form will now have to appear for the examination. A written exam will be conducted for both the posts and the candidates have to appear for it.

The written examination will be conducted from 2nd December to 30th December 2018. The candidates can know their exam date and the exam centre on the admit card which can be downloaded from 26 November 2018 to 24 December 2018. Below are the complete details about the written exam.

Exam Pattern:

  1. The written test will consist of multiple choice objective questions.
  2. There is no negative marking.
  3. There will be a total of 100 questions.
  4. Each question carried 0.80 marks. This means the exam is of 80 marks.
  5. Duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
  6. The medium of examination shall be Hindi.
  7. It will consist of questions from General Studies, General Science, Current affairs, Basic Computer knowledgeGeneral Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal husbandry, other relevant fields/trades etc.

Physical Measurement Test:

The candidates who qualify the written test will have to appear for physical measurement test. Below is the criteria of qualification in terms of physical measurement.

1- Height

A- General Category:

  • Male- 170 cm
  • Female- 158 cm

B- Eligible reserve categories as per the latest existing Government Policy

  • Male- 168 cm
  • Female- 156 cm

2- Chest

A- General Category:

  • Male- (83 cms (un-expanded) to 87 cms (Expanded)
  • Female- Not applicable

B- Eligible reserve categories as per the latest existing Government Policy

  • Male- 81 cms (un-expanded) to 85 cms (Expanded)
  • Female- Not applicable

Note: Candidates belonging to the category of Ex-serviceman, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and backward classes category will be given a relaxation in physical standard to the extent of 1 inch in height and 1 inch in chest measurement.

Physical Screening Test:

After qualifying the Physical Measurement test, the qualified candidates will have to appear for the Physical screening test. The candidates will be further qualified on the basis of standards given below:

The candidates who qualify the physical screening test will be called for verification and submission of documents. Check the details:

A- Educational:

1- For Sub Inspector: (Total 7 Marks)

  • 04 Marks for the candidate with higher education i.e. a Graduation degree in Law, Computer Engineering/Science, Forensic Medicine, Forensic Science, Police Science and Criminology from a recognized university.
  • Additional three (03) marks to candidates with a post Graduate degree in any of the aforementioned streams issued from a recognized university.
  • Candidates with a Post Graduate degree in any stream other than the ones mentioned above shall get no extra marks. However, the candidates having a degree over and above their post-graduation e.g. M.Phil or Ph.D. in streams other than the ones mentioned above will get additional three (03) marks.

2- For Constable: (Total 7 Marks)

  • Four (04) marks to the Candidate with higher education i.e. with a Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University.
  •  Additional three (03) marks to the candidates with Post Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized University.

B- NCC and HCC certification:

  • NCC certificate (Maximum 3 marks)- Candidates with NCC certificate with A, B, C level will get 01, 02, 03 marks respectively.
  • Or, HCC Certificate (Maximum 3 Marks)- Candidates with NCC certificate with A, B, level will get 01, 03 marks respectively.


Candidates who qualify all the above levels will be called for an interview-cum-personality test. It will consist of 12 marks.
