Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has published notification of employment for a massive 519 vacancies in “Sub-Inspectors” profile.  The last date to submit the application is 15th December 2018. Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE-2018) will be conducting the exam as per the official notification. Please note that a candidate can avail only three chances to compete in the LDCE.   • Constable/GD, Head Constable /GD, & Constable/Tradesmen who have completed five years of regular service including the period of basic training in the grade


  • Five years of combined regular service as Constable/GD, Head Constable/GD, and Constable/Tradesmen as on August 1, 2018

Selection Process for the post of ASI Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical MeasurementTest
To qualify for PET test (male and female) Physical Standard for Height:

Male – 170 cms, Female – 157 cms

For candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir

Male – 165 cms, Female – 155 cms

Physical Standard for Chest

Male: 80-85 Cms

ST candidates: 77-82 Cms

How to Apply for CISF Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment 2018?

  • Click on the official website of the Central Industrial Security Force for recruitment
  • Read the circular for eligibility conditions
  • Download the notification and take  a print out
  • Fill the application form
  • Attach the required documents i.e records and a photograph
  • Get the section filled by Unit Commander where the candidate is currently posted
  • Fill the certificates in Appendix-A, B-1, B-2 & B-3 to their respective Unit Commanders by 15.12.2018
  • Ensure before appending signature that portion of Appendix-Å including Col.No.I to 13, Appendix B-l, B-2 & B-3 are filled
  • Verify and send to the respective DISG (Application Receiving Centre) by 22.12.2018
  • For candidates posted in the units under the administrative control of DISG Plant OR DISG DAE or DOS or Airports or BNS or GBS or SSG or HQRs or in Training Institutions, their applications will be forwarded directly to the respective Zonal DISG mentioned by the respective Unit Commanders instead through their DlsG
  • The respective branch will send the application to Directorate of their respective units which will be forwarded to DIG, NZ-I, New Delhi after verifying the service particulars of the candidate.
  • No application will be sent to the Recruitment Branch
  • For the personnel on duty like Election duty, temp duty, attachment duty etc should be informed by Unit Commander
  • Concerned unit Commanders are required to forward applications submitted by the individuals

CISF Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment 2018: Selection Procedure

Structure of Written Examination for CISF Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment 2018. Check section 7 of official circular on

  • The exam will be conducted in 5 stages
  • Stage 1 – Verification of records submitted
  • Stage 2 – Written OMR based exam
    • Total marks will be 200
    • Duration will be of 3.5 hours
    • 200 multiple choice questions each carrying “1” marks
    • The exam will cover the following topics with the distribution of questions
      • General Intelligence and Reasoning – 50 Questions
      • General Awareness and Professional Knowledge – 50 Questions
      • Numerical Ability – 50 Questions
      • Comprehension and Communication Skill – 50 Questions
    • At least 45% needs to be secure in each section and 50% aggregate i.e. 100 marks out of 200. For candidates of SC/ST category relaxation of 5% is provisioned
  • Stage 3 – Physical Measurement Test (PST) will only be of qualifying nature
  • Stage 4 – Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted
  • Stage 5 – Detailed medical examination
  • For the final selection, candidates have to appear in the merit list and considered FIT in medical examination
