GDS stands for Gramin Dak Seva wherein candidates applied for the vacancies in Indian Post. GDS had vacancies for various states all over the country.
GDS result 2018: Merit list for many of the states have already been declared although some states are yet to declare the merit list. Latest GDS result date was in August for Uttrakhand and Maharashtra.
GDS did not conduct any examination. Candidates are supposed to be 10th pass i.e. SSC (Senior Secondary Class) Pass. The one with higher marks in 10th standard is given preference over the candidate with lower marks. Hence, the merit list is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s SSC marks. Once the candidate falls under the merit list, he/she is supposed to present the required documents. After document verification, final GDS result is declared.
There were as many as nineteen thousand vacancies. Although many of the candidates failed to fill the form due to faults in the website and forms for many states were canceled. Besides the faulty site, many candidates were able to complete the form for Indian Post vacancies and merit list was declared in India Post GDS result. The selected candidate are suggested to keep their mobile phones switched on and updated with the text messages. The Final GDS result 2018 will be declared after the document verification of the selected candidates.
