Rangoli slams Deepika Padukone Over Her Latest Video

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is known for her excellent work and unparalleled beauty. She is currently one of the most followed and highest-paid actress in Bollywood. However, behind her success is a struggle. A few years back, Deepika shared that she was battling with depression and how she overcame it.

In a society where depression is considered a temporary state of mind and a topic nobody likes to talk about, top actress of Bollywood came out to talk about it and gave inspiration to many others who are battling the same.

In a video, Deepika Padukone talked about her battle with Depression and her thought behind the initiative ‘The Live Laugh Love Foundation’. TLLLF was an initiative launched by Deepika Padukone on 10th October 2015 to create awareness around mental health.

The video recently crossed 1 million views on Youtube and TLLF Foundation shared the news on their Twitter handle with a boomerang of Deepika Padukone beaming with joy and dancing. The caption read, “The first time  @deepikapadukone spoke publicly about her experience with depression was on national television. The video has hit 1 Million views on our YouTube channel!”

The tweet didn’t go well with the Tweeps who criticized the actress for dancing and celebrating just because a video on sensitive topic crossed 1 million views. Have a look at how people are reacting:

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli too joined the herd and criticized Deepika for celebrating. She wrote on Twitter, “Yeh kya ho raha hai? Yeh depression hota hai, yeh woh log hain jinko word Mental se problem thi, magar depression vidoes pe baration ki tarah nach rahe hain, kya ghatiya wahiyat tarika hai depression ke naam pe publicity lene ka .. @TLLLFoundation”

However, there were people who took sides of the actress and stated that there is no harm in celebrating. A twitter user pointed out, “1 million views means 1 million people now aware about mental health issues, atleast 20-30% stagma around it is destroyed, atleast 10-20% of those will try to help someone who struggle with this, atleast 10 more lifes saved. It a reason to celebrate. Nothing wrong.”
