Real Men watch PowerPuff Girls- Powerpuff Girls anniversary
Do you remember the iconic cartoon series ‘The Powerpuff Girls’? Well, if you are a 90s kid, I bet you remember it. The American Superhero animated TV show was about the three girls from kindergarten with superpowers. They were often called by the city’s mayor to help fight the criminals using their superpowers. The show first aired on November 18, 1998, and the final episode was aired on March 25, 2005.
Well, on Nov 18 this year, the show will be celebrating its 20th birth anniversary and to add excitement to that, Cartoon Network will stream the popular TV show for 72 hours straight. CN.com will stream both the original Powerpuff series and the remastered version. And we wonder it would be a walk down the memory lane for the 90s kids.
CN will also show an original music video created by female animators from around the globe. Moreover, Cartoon Network is also launching an internship programme called ‘Empowerpuff internship’ inviting people to work behind the scenes in production and marketing. It aims at promoting empowerment, sisterhood, positivity, and confidence across the social platforms of the channel.
There is one more reason for the fans to rejoice. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, fans can purchase an exclusive ‘Empowerpuff sweater’ from Lingua Franca. The cashmere sweater will be made on order and can be purchased only via mail. The profits generated from its sale will be donated to The Lower East Side Girls Club.
