2018 seems to be a great year for the lovers of Punjabi Cinema as we are witnessing some great films. We are being offered some great content and new pairs by Pollywood. And an upcoming film titled Aate Di Chidi is one such film to look forward to! The film stars Neeru Bajwa and Amrit Maan in lead.
The film is directed by Harry Bhatti who has earlier given entertaining films like Rabb Da Radio and Sardar Mohammad. We will also see Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Anmol Verma, Harby Sangha, Sardar Sohi and Karanmjit Anmol in pivotal roles.

In Aate di Chidi trailer, we can see Neeru Bajwa who lives in Canada has no attachment to the roots of Punjab because of several issues in the state. However, circumstances make her go to Punjab.
What makes this film entertaining is how the makers have shown the issues in Punjab in a humorous way. The film was shot in different parts of Punjab and Canada. Produced by Charanjit Singh Walia & Tegbir Singh Walia, the film is slated for 19 October release. It would be a perfect watch on Dussera.
Talking about the film, singer and actor Amrit Maan said in an interview, “I had started my acting journey with a grey shade character and then tried to entertain with a comic and carefree role. Aate Di Chidi is a new and fresh concept. Firstly, I am about to play the leading man, and then, the story of the movie itself has got me hooked.”
For those who are unaware, Amrit Maan started his career as a songwriter. His first song was Jatt Fire Karde, which was sung by Diljit Dosanjh. After becoming a successful lyricist, he released his debut song Desi Da Drum which became super hit and broke several records. He made his acting debut with the 2017 film Channa Mereya.
Harry Bhatti, the director of the film said, “I have always been considered as a serious director, the one who focuses on important issues. this film also has a similar backdrop but the treatment is funny and a bit different from my usual style. I am trying something out of my comfort zone and hope that people will accept it the same way as they have loved my works earlier.”
