ZEE5 has announced that it will release Prakash Jha’s upcoming film Pareeksha: The Final Test.
The filmmakers have said that Pareeksha: The Final Test is based on real stories, and it is supposedly going to make an impact on the education practice in India. It shows the harsh reality where great pedagogy is only for the rich.
The film takes cues from the life of Mr. Abhayanand, the former DGP of Bihar. ZEE5 says that the story of Pareeksha: The Final Test is about Bucchi, a rickshaw puller who wants to provide good education to his son. However, getting good education is not so easy, and Bucchi risks losing everything in the process of achieving this goal.
Pareeksha: The Final Exam features Priyanka Bose, Adil Hussain, Sanjay Suri, and child actor Shubham Jha. Prakash Jha premiered his film at the 50th International Film Festival of India in the Indian Panorama section.
While talking about his work on Pareeksha, director, Prakash Jha said that the film takes inspiration from real events and real people. He narrated the story of Mr. Abhayanand, the IPS officer who took it upon himself to help the children in the area of his posting. He found that a lot of bright-minded youngsters are unable to achieve their true potential due to lack of guidance. So, he began to tutor these youngsters for the prestigious IIT-JEE exam. Mr Abhayanand not only helped these students achieve success but also improved the reputation of the region.
This tale of dedication and struggle needs to be shown to the people of our country, and Prakash Jha has taken the responsibility to do so.
