The patriotic song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar and written by Kavi Pradeep. The 6-minute song was a tribute to the Indian soldiers who were martyred during the Indian-Sino War. Composed by C. Ramchandra, the song was first sung on January 27, 1963. The song united the whole nation. The pathos in the song gives goosebumps and brings tears to eyes even after almost 70 years.
