Horror films in India have come a long way thankfully but is the recent one enough to send shivers down your spine? Vicky Kaushal starrer Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship came out on 21st February 2020.
The horror thriller movie is based on a true story that took place in Mumbai, India. The story depicts a couple on a derelict ship that is lying on a beach in Mumbai. It is the first film in the franchise and features Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ashutosh Rana in the leading roles.
Amazon owns the digital streaming right for this movie, and it will be available on Amazon’s streaming service Prime Videos in April. We haven’t been given an exact date that the film would stream on. However, it is believed that the movie should come out during the second week of April.
Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship is made on a budget of INR 40 crores. Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship is directed by Aashutosh Rana and the movie is produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions alongside Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khetan.
The Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship is a horror suspense thriller, an investigating officer, goes into an abandoned ship only to find that it is not abandoned at all. He has to juggle between the mystery of the ship and amending some mistakes made in his personal life. Can he survive the ship?
It aims at sending chills down your spine but it runs way short of it. At best, it manages to give you a few spooks. The first installment of Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship appears to be a ‘dead’ loss. Critics are hoping that the franchise might survive the debacle. Rated 6.2/10 by IMDb and 2.5 by critics, you can watch the movie on Amazon Prime Videos on 18th April, review and share comments!
