The first trailer of Bollywood actor John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’ has been released. The film is based on the Operation Batla House 2008 against suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in the Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. During the operation, two suspected terrorists were killed and the two other suspects were arrested. Encounter specialist cop Mohan Chand Sharma was also killed during the encounter.
The aftermath followed questioning about the authenticity of the encounter from several human rights organizations, and teachers and students of Jamia Millia Islamia University.
The trailer of the upcoming film begins with a scene of the encounter which follows the aftermath. John Abraham plays a courageous cop strapping on his bulletproof jacket and watching as his team guns down the suspects. The trailer shows many scenes where John’s character is put through investigation. There are media trials, pressure from government and protests by the public.

John Abraham is playing the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav. The film is also [roduced by the actor himself. The film also features Prakash Raj, Mrunal Thakur, and Ravi Kishan. It is slated for 15 August release and will face a clash with Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal, and Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor’s Saaho.
John Abraham is currently focusing on doing nationalistic films and his recent work is proof of that. His most recent work includes Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran, Satyameva Jayate and Romeo Akbar Walter.
