When Apple released the iPhone SE in 2017, it turned out to be one of the most popular iPhones at that time. People loved its smaller form factor, which was different from the flagship iPhones of the time and much similar to that of the iPhone 5s.
However, the phone packed a powerful punch despite its smaller size. I was basically an iPhone 6s put in the shell on an iPhone 5s. Now for the past couple of years, people were waiting for the successor of the iPhone SE which was the most affordable iPhone at release.
Now, in 2020, the wait is finally over, Apple revealed the iPhone SE 2020 edition. Again, the phone is smaller than the latest flagship phones in terms of its design and is quite similar to the iPhone 8. The iPhone SE 2020 will be the most affordable next-gen iPhone with a launch price of INR 42000. It is supposed to go on sale in India soon, and Flipkart has already started to prepare for the device’s launch.
The announcement from Apple for iPhone SE was done on April 15, just a day after the OnePlus 8 series launch. Flipkart made the announcement of the beginning of registration on its site for Orange and Green zones on May 10. Flipkart teased on its mobile app about pre-sale registrations with a dedicated “Notify Me” button on a dedicated landing page. Also, the smartphone can be ordered online via the Flipkart platform. None other e-commerce platform is into selling the iPhone SE model.
If you are interested in buying, register by entering a valid phone number and email address. The registered user will be informed via email and SMS about the sale date and time from Flipkart. Due to lockdown and not part of essential goods, iPhone SE delivery will happen in identified green and orange zones only.
iPhone SE 2020 will feature a 4.7-inch retina display with a 750×1334 resolution. It will be an IPS LCD with true tone display and haptic touch support. The phone will run on Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, which is present in the iPhone 11 Pro series.
iPhone SE 2020 has an improved 12 MP camera at the back along with a 7 MP selfie camera. It will also feature touchID, a feature that all the iPhones after iPhone 8 were lacking. However, the music lovers would miss the 3.5mm jack, which won’t be present in this new iteration if iPhone SE.
