Bobby Deol is making an entry on the digital platform with two announcements. Deol’s fans need to mark their calendars for August. They are in for a treat with two blockbusters coming in a span of 1 week.
Bobby Deol’s Class Of ’83 has going for a global premiere on Netflix on August 21. The announcement came on the twitter handle of Bobby. While announcing the release date, he also released a brand new poster featuring himself in khakhis.
While sharing the film’s release date, he captioned the tweet and said “It’s not which side you are fighting for, it’s what you are fighting against” The actor plays the role of Vijay Singh, a police instructor in the film. The movie is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book.
He also revealed that the trailer of Class Of ’83 will be dropping on Friday.
“A hero policeman, shunted to a punishment posting as the Dean of the police academy, decides to punish the corrupt bureaucracy and its criminal allies in return by training five lethal assassin policemen. But, like all good plans, it only works for a while until the fire that he has ignited threatens to burn down his own house,” the official synopsis of Class Of ‘83 reads.
Class Of ’83 is directed by Atul Sabharwal and is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment. It will be the first original movie for OTT platform by SRK. Earlier the production house had worked on web shows Betaal and Bard Of Blood
The star cast of Class of 83 includes Annup Soni, Joy Sengupta, Ninad Mahajani, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Bhupendra Jadawat, Sameer Paranjape, Hitesh Bhojraj and Prithvik Pratap.
Around a month ago, Bobby Deol had shared an intense first look as Dean Vijay Singh. While sharing he descrobed the role as “an experience like never before.”
Apart from the Class of 83, there are 17 new films and web shows lined up to premiere on Netflix. Few names which are most awaited include Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Torbaaz, Ludo, and A Suitable Boy. You can mark your calendars for August 12 with Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2 dropping on August 28.
