Tigmanshu Dhulia’s directorial venture “Yaara” has got a platform to release. It is skipping theatrical premiere and is coming directly on Zee5 on July 25. Yaara is a remake of 2011, Gang Story, a French crime-drama.
The crime drama movie is set along the Nepal India border and has Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan playing in the lead roles. They are supported by a stellar cast of Assam’s very own Kenny Basumatary, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, and Sanjay Mishra. It is produced by Sunir Kheterpal for AZURE Entertainment.
Jamwal tweeted and said “Every story finds its people and some are worth the journey and wait. This story would have remained untold had it not been for @SunirKheterpal the man and creative force behind Yaara. Good fortune comes in many forms – Sunir is one of them for me..”
Yaara is the story of the rise and fall of friendship between ‘chaukadi gang’ of criminals who operate from Uttar Pradesh across the Nepal-India border. It captures an epic tale of a friendship that fights all the odds and breaks all the rules. But in the end, does it pass the ultimate test of time?
“Yaara is an homage to honour friendship between four friends, a riveting take on any crime narrative that we have seen so far,” Tigmanshu shared. “I think another highlight of the film is the casting. It is a unique, talented mix of actors who have done a phenomenal job on each of their characters. All of them have their own indigenous style to express their lines and emotions.”
Amit Sadh will be coming on Breathe Season 2 coming July 10. He will continue from where he left off in Season 1 – the role of a police officer. Vidyut Jammwal’s another film “Khuda Haafiz” is also getting ready for an OTT release.
