Anushka Sharma teases her fans with a gripping trailer of ‘Bulbbul’!

Anushka Sharma’s first Netflix production, Bulbbul’s trailer has been shared! Earlier haunting poster and teaser were shared by her. Bulbbul trailer is nighttime poetry promising an intriguing storyline.

The tale of horror cum supernatural drama boasts a stellar cast of Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary, Rahul Bose in the lead roles. They are supported by Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Paoli Dam. It is a directorial debut for Anvita Dutt who is also the writer of the film.

Bulbbul comes from the production house of Anushka and her brother Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films. It had been pretty successful with the recent Amazon Prime Video original Paatal Lok. For Anushka, Bulbbul will be a second OTT venture after Paatal Lok.

The 2.5-minute-long Bulbbul trailer is out shared by Anushka and each frame of it looks gripping. Rahul Bose is making a comeback with Bulbbul and his dark avatar looks utterly satisfying. The film will have a global premiere on June 24 on Netflix. With only 5 days left for the premiere, it can be definitely added onto the watchlist.

Captioning the trailer Anushka wrote, “What if our childhood bedtime stories came true? #Bulbbul, coming soon only on @NetflixIndia. Official trailer out now!”

Bulbbul is all about the story of Bulbul, a demon woman, child bride of Satya’s brother. The movie is set in the backdrop of a rural area in Bengal of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

“From the moment I heard Bulbbul, we immediately wanted to produce it. It is a fascinating, captivating, cinematic story dipped in folklore which we instantly fell in love with. Anvita’s storytelling is extremely unique and with Bulbbul she is giving audiences something really clutter-breaking,” Anushka said in a mailed statement.
